💥 The Workshop in McKinney: The Human Circle That Shouldn’t Work But Totally Does
So there we are, in a bright, modern McKinney community space with way too much natural light for anyone to be sleepy. The client? A booming marketing agency whose creative team could ideate like champions but struggled to literally and figuratively support each other when deadlines got real. Their challenge: team trust and stability under shifting loads. (Pun absolutely intended.)

We gathered 26 participants into a cozy little human pretzel. Step one: everyone in a tight inward-facing circle. Step two: quarter turn left, now you’re looking at the back of the person next to you and thinking, “Oh no, where is this going?” Step three: close that gap like you’re packing a clown car.

Then the magic moment: “Sit!”

And somehow, against all odds, no one falls. You’re sitting… on someone’s knees… while your knees are holding up someone else. Suddenly, your “trust fall” just turned into “trust sit” — and the only thing keeping the system upright is pure teamwork.

We serve the greater McKinney area, including Historic Downtown McKinney, Stonebridge Ranch, Craig Ranch, Adriatica Village, Eldorado, Trinity Falls, Heatherwood, Westridge, Hardin Lake, Mallard Lakes, The Reserve at Eldorado

Recommended McKinney Venues

Sheraton McKinney Hotel

1900 Gateway Boulevard
McKinney, TX 75070

(972) 549-4000
www.marriott.com

The Sheraton McKinney isn’t just the gold standard for corporate gatherings — it’s the platinum, diamond, and “wow, is that a laser light show?” standard. With 20,000+ square feet of shapeshifting event space, this place can go from a whisper-quiet boardroom (where you plot world domination over coffee) to a grand ballroom so big you could host your training session and a minor league hockey game without anyone noticing.

The AV? So cutting-edge it makes TED Talks look like campfire stories. Catering? Fully customizable, from dainty hors d’oeuvres that make you feel like royalty to hearty Texas spreads that whisper, “You won’t need lunch tomorrow.” And those chairs — oh, the chairs — so plush you could run an eight-hour seminar without losing a single attendee to the “back pain shuffle.”

When the day’s done, you’re minutes from Historic Downtown McKinney, where team bonding can take the form of barbecue feasts, patio margaritas, or an impromptu two-step to live music that somehow makes your quarterly goals feel more achievable.

This isn’t just an event venue. This is McKinney’s answer to the question, “What if we made corporate gatherings awesome?”

Holiday Inn & Suites McKinney – Fairview

3220 Craig Drive
McKinney, TX 75070

(972) 562-5757
www.ihg.com

The Holiday Inn & Suites McKinney – Fairview is like the Swiss Army knife of corporate event venues — compact, efficient, and somehow able to solve problems you didn’t even know you had. With 2,500 square feet of meeting space, it’s perfect for small to mid-sized gatherings where big ideas are born, PowerPoints are conquered, and someone inevitably says, “Let’s take this offline” like it’s a sacred ritual.

Each room is locked, loaded, and ready for action with all the presentation gear you need — no more awkwardly waving at the projector or yelling, “Next slide!” like you’re conducting an orchestra. And because the on-site restaurant and bar are basically your built-in lunch break heroes, there’s no herding your coworkers into cars for a cross-town trek to eat. You can go from “closing arguments” to “closing your tab” in the same building.

The cherry on top? This spot is right off US-75, which means whether your attendees are coming from Dallas, Fort Worth, or “the part of Texas where my GPS just gives up,” they can get here without needing a map, a mule, or a sherpa.

This isn’t just a meeting venue. It’s a convenience-fueled, productivity-packed, mid-size magic box of corporate possibility.

Hampton Inn & Suites McKinney

2008 North Central Expressway
McKinney, TX 75069

(972) 542-6622
www.hilton.com

The Hampton Inn & Suites McKinney is your meeting’s secret weapon — small enough to keep focus sharp, but friendly enough to make you wonder if the staff just got adopted into your department. Their meeting rooms are like little productivity pods, fully stocked with all the gear you need and powered by Wi-Fi so free and fast you’ll feel guilty for not paying it a compliment.

The lobby? Oh, it’s modern, sleek, and just begging for those “accidental” networking moments — you know, where someone from accounting casually drops a million-dollar idea while pouring coffee. Speaking of coffee, mornings here are practically a festival thanks to their complimentary hot breakfast, which transforms 8 a.m. meetings from “why are we awake” to “pass the waffle maker, I have ideas.”

This isn’t just a hotel. This is a caffeinated, freeway-friendly, meeting-machine that also hands you bacon in the morning — which, frankly, should be the gold standard for all business venues.

“Circle Sitting” (McKinney Mega-Trust Edition)

Alright, friends — time to get uncomfortably close in the name of glorious teamwork.

Step One: Formation Time. Everyone huddles in, forming a perfect inward-facing circle. Yes, closer. No, closer than that. Think “group photo where everyone’s trying to fit in the frame.”

Step Two: The Quarter Turn. Everyone pivots a quarter turn left. Now you’re eyeballing the back of the person in front of you and maybe questioning life choices. Stay with me.

Step Three: Gap Be Gone. Close in even more until you’re basically human Velcro.

Step Four: The Big Sit. Working collaboratively and being as careful as possible, sit down together!
